1. Acceptance
By using chrisrohn.com ("the Site") you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. What the Site does
The Site is a personal, non-commercial new-music discovery feed for the Indie Discotheque radio station. It lists recent releases gathered from public sources and lets you preview them through YouTube's embedded player. Signed-in curators can file tracks into their own YouTube playlists.
3. YouTube
- The Site uses YouTube API Services and embeds the YouTube player. By using the Site you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.
- All music, artwork, and video remain the property of their respective rights holders and are streamed from YouTube. The Site does not host, download, or redistribute any audio or video.
- When you sign in with Google, the Site acts only on your explicit instructions (pressing 馃憤, 馃憥, or Undo) and only on playlists in your own YouTube library ("<year> | Indie Discotheque" for the curator, "<year> Picks from chrisrohn.com" for everyone else). You are responsible for the playlists you create and for complying with YouTube's rules when doing so.
- You may revoke the Site's access to your Google account at any time at Google security settings.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: attempt to access another person's playlists or account through the Site; interfere with, overload, or reverse engineer the Site or the services it relies on; scrape the Site in a way that burdens the third-party services it links to; or use the Site for anything unlawful.
5. Third-party sources
Feed content is aggregated from third-party services (including Last.fm, ListenBrainz, MusicBrainz, Bandcamp, Deezer, music publications, and YouTube). We do not control those services, make no claims about the accuracy or availability of their data, and are not responsible for their content or their terms.
6. No warranty
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Release dates, artist matches, and YouTube matches are automated best guesses and may be wrong.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, playlists, or content, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site is limited to US $0, reflecting that the Site is free.
8. Open source
The Site's code is published at github.com/chrisrohn/chrisrohn. Nothing in these Terms grants rights to the Indie Discotheque or Chris Rohn names or branding.
9. Changes and termination
We may change these Terms or discontinue the Site at any time. The effective date above changes when the Terms do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
